Audi A1 2013

Finally the launch of Audi A1- 2013 edition has been announced. The automaker has already provided an early design study of the 3-door A1. It is believed that the new A1 will feature large electric power cloth panel, covering total of 80% of roof area. It can be opened by the push of a button and can automatically retract back.

Audi A1 will be integrated with the same engine, which was used in the hatchback version. Both TSI and TFSI versions are quite expensive and performance-oriented, due to which there are less chances of being used in the new A1 base model.

The car is powered by a 2.0 TFSI 4-cylinder DI engine which generates 256 horsepower at 6000 rpm, mated to a 6-speed transmission system. The vehicle accelerates from idle to 60 mph in just 5.5 seconds and reaches a top speed of 152 mph. The overall fuel efficiency has increased to 27.67 mpg approximately.

Within A1, you can find MMI routing program, Bluetooth, Google Earth, and an integrated WLAN. It also features single frame grill, large size tires, dynamic sideline, small side windows, and short consoles.

A1 will be consistently cheaper than the current A3 due to the fact that use of new platform with semi rigid axle is a lot cheaper than multi link. The body is made from steel and not aluminum, which was used in A2. The automaker has decided to fix a price range of $16000 – $20000 for its variants, which is quite reasonable.
